To Ponder, 1/11/15

So we approach the midway point to the first month of the new year … how’s it going? Did you set any goals? Make pilgrimsprogressjohnbunyanany “resolutions” or even just tell yourself you were going to make an effort to tidy up a few things in your life? Here’s a thought from 17th century author and preacher John Bunyan (perhaps best known for Pilgrim’s Progress) to help you “keep on keepin’ on…”

“The hill, though high, I covet to ascend,

The difficult will not me offend;

For I perceive the way to life lies here,

Come, pluck up heart, let’s neither faint nor fear;

Better, though difficult, the right way to go,

Then wrong, though easy, where the end is woe.”

Keep your chin up .. if it was easy, everyone would do it, yes?
