Daily Reflection, 12/23/14

Today we get a timeless message about our health from late 19th/early 20th century man of many talents who was both an M.D. and sometime preacher F.W. Welch:

“Health is the sum of money in the bank, which will support you, economically spent. But you spend foolishly and draw on the principal.  This diminishes the income, and you draw the oftened and larger drafts until you become bankrupt. Overeating, overworking, every impudence is a draft on life which health cashes and charge at a thousand per cent interest. Every abuse of health hastens death!”

(smart man!  this is from a sermon on 2 Samuel, chapter 20)
